This week did our 16km route march, not too xiong as most of us are used to it. We did the march with Alpha, Echo and some people from Gryphon. We had our dinner at our turning point, dinner was western food : Half spring chicken, rice, baked beans and fries. Set off at around 1530 and reached company at 2100.
Saturday before booking out was IPPT. Our book out timing was 1015, however we were the last platoon to run our 2.4 at 0930. Eveyone ran like never before to be the first to go back bunk and changed for book out. Our fieldpacks were so heavy as we stuffed some items to bring back, so on the day of POP we got lesser things to bring back.
Kai messaged me on msn to meet him 1700 at AMK as he was sending his girlfriend home and would be free. Reached AMK and waited for him, soon he and his girlfriend came. Kai bought Half life 2 and complained about the cheapo packaging. We went to NTUC and he bought a tent supposed to have picnic with his girlfriend tomorrow. Walked around bought tickets for "Taxi" at Jubliee. Then we had dinner at the hawker centre. WOW this hawker centre served a variety of food western ,japanese and some baboo rice set dishes. I ordered a Szechuan soup with rice, and did not heed Kai's warning not to order. True enough the soup was not hot or spicy.
After our meal went Mr Bean to drink soyabean and went of our movie. "Taxi" was a nice movie with alot of laughs. The thief inside the movie was hot, especially the part of exchanging the hostages. After the show, I saw a familiar person, he was one of the Judges of Singapore Idol. Can't remember his name but he was the judge with sunglasses. Went Popular to browse at the magazines and later left for home.

VRmmm vrmmm !!!
Sunday went to the see the Motorshow with Jack, Simon and Kai Cheng. Met them at around 1700.
This year Motorshow not bad, quite alot of new models and concept cars from Lexus, Honda, Audi and Toyota. The Lambourghini roadster was also displayed and it was a beauty. Nissan also showcased their new 350Z roadster. A little disappointed as there was no BMW, Jaguar and Mercedes models. Took alot of photos especially at the Lambourghini, Porsche and Saab booth. Saab concept is very refreshing alot of new models. Spent around 3 hours before we had dinner downstairs. Slacked awhile before we decided to go for a movie as I wanted to watch either "Shark Tales" or "Taxi".
We met up with Hanzy at Cineleisure and as we were feeling hungry again we ate at Long John. I ordered their new dish "Fish Wrap" not bad. It was already 2345 when we reached the ticket counter and "Taxi" was sold out. We finally decided on watching" Everybody has secrets" a korean movie.
Well the show was not bad. Its talking about this playboy playing around with his girlfriend and 2 sisters. Each leaving them a secret to keep, before finding his next target. AT the end of the show we went Geylang to eat and finally reach home.
This morning after sleeping for 4 hours, dragged myself out of bed to play soccer. When Kai, his brother and I reached the court, it was already crowded. Performance was poor and left at around 1430.

1 year older, 20 boring years
Friday booked out at 1745. Everyone was excited as this book out would be the longest due to Deepavali and Hari Raya. Earlier in the day, we had a course where to had to leopard crawl in a stimulated battlefield. Each crawl is slow and painful. This was also our last outfield. At the end of the crawl, sand could be found on our body and even in our pockets. We were also excited as we organised a bbq on thursday, our first informal meetups.
Friday night my mum , sister and I went for a dinner buffet. I wanted to try international style buffet so I suggested Parkway's Suki Sushi. The buffet consists of al carte sushis, free flow of soft drinks, oysters, prawns, unagis, dim sum, satay, cakes, ice-creams... YUMMY. Overall not bad, a large variety, nice ambience and food. The final bill was $78 for 3 of us.
Thursday reached the pit at around 1630, and quite a number were already there. Mark and Guo Liang were preparing the fire and food. We had, chicken wings, hot dogs, crabsticks, bee hoon, jelly, sweet potatoes, corns, pork chops, steaks and lots of soft drinks. Slowly the crowd came. Qian, Satu, Jonathan, Johnny, Jason and Eugene brought their girlfriends along. Around evening, PC Shaun ,PS Terence, PS Willy, SG Puan and Gabriel came. All except 2LT Shaun stayed. Sir brought along his vodka.
Well not many people knew today was my birthday as I didn't announce it, fearing being a birthday pandan cake LOL!!! But i still could not escaped their birthday surprise. As usual, they throw me into the sea, leaving me wet for the whole night. Then Jason concoted a special cocktail consisting of sprite, vodka mango and johnny walker. After the drink i felt my body burning. Then we took many photos and videos. The second wave of attack came, when Satu wanted to take photo with me, while Andy Li throw the box of ice cold water on my half naked body. MAN! i was freezing.
At around 2300 we packed up and left. Kelvin Lee , Kelvin Chong and Eugene rode here. Mark drive sir, yongda and me home. Everyone enjoyed the bbq and tonight I would be damn busy as everyone would be asking me to send them the pics.

Start from 2 weeks ago.
Was late for book in. I had to be at Pasir Ris at 2030, but at 1900 I am still outside not yet had my dinner and change my uniform. Luckily Timothy was there to drive me.
The following Monday morning, I was being chosen to be platoon ic. Whats a platoon ic, well its one of the recruits receiving and conveying the orders/ instructions to his fellow mates. He is also to maintain the discipline of the platoon. In short SAI GANG, because you will be pumping almost everytime hahaha.
First day was fine, but on the next day during the bunk inspection I was punished as i reported late to my sergant SIANZ. During my control, our PS discovered many things and we were supposed to receive 3 weeks confinement as a punishment.
The following week, I was attached to Alpha company for an outfield test to test whether you have leadership skills to go command school. In short this test s trying to prove, "Shag cannot think is it"!. You will be very tired during the 3 days of test. Well in managed to pass all the missions and did not fallout, however did not perform well and impressed the accessor.
After my outfield test, the next day was digging own grave. ??? What is digging own grave, you are to dig a hole in the ground to hide yourself from enemies. 2 types of hole. 1 for yourself and another working in a section. The weather was extreme, and i was perspiring like a waterfall. At the end of the session, many people could not endure , fall out and rushed to the medical centre.
That friday was the earliest book out we had, 1645 fastcraft. The next day we had a school run, where all the companies would be running together at Marina South. First time seeing so many botaks boarding the train wearing civilian clothes. At around 0800 the run started and we ran in company level. After the run, we had refreshment like puffs and bananas. Then had games like, soccer, captain ball, frisbee or even childhood games Pepsi COla 123 haha. While me and my other friends laze around. At 1000 we left Marina south and went back with Kai.
Reached home, did some stuffs and left for Bugis to send my PHONE FOR REPAIR the second time. AFter that went to collect my stuff from Timothy and meet my friend at SLS. Been ages since i been to SLS, crowded as usual want to buy everything but got $0. At around 1700 meet my mum and sister for dinner. We had dinner at Suntec.
Finally less than a month to POP, no need to come back this Island, unless I am posted to SISPEC quite impossible or as a storeman here. Over 10 weeks as a recruit here, time for us to relax and time for us to be serious. Though in outfield you get dirty and smelly you can feel the brotherlyhood. --> Got such a word?? Few more weeks and we would be separated, from strangers coming from different background until now buddies sleeping ,bathing and being punished together.
